Clone Commandos, more commonly known as Republic Commandos, were the elite Clone Troopers of the Grand Army of the Republic. Through their training the commandos were more lethal and efficient than the average Clone Soldier of the Galactic Republic.
Trained in squads of four by Mandalorian mercenaries, the commandos were more capable than their rank-and-file clone brethren, having undergone live-fire training as opposed to mere computerised simulations.
All Clone Commandos were proficient with a large variety of weapons, computer systems, and demolitions equipment. Following the rise of the Empire, a group of Clone Commandos founded the Stormtrooper Corps.
