Desert Stormtroopers, or as they are mainly called, Sandtroopers, are Imperial Stormtroopers with modified armour and equipment to withstand the harsh climates of desert planets like Tatooine.
They are nearly identical to standard Stormtroopers but receive additional training in specialised areas and have advanced cooling systems in both their helmets and suits. They also carry survival backpacks stocked with extra rations and water.
Sandtroopers wear a pauldron on their right shoulder that designates different ranking:
Orange=Unit/Squad leader
White= Sergeant
Black=Enlisted Trooper/Private.
